What you can ask Claude about your store’s WhatsApp
Ask the way you would ask a colleague. Claude reads your Whapi data to answer, and confirms with you before it makes a change.
“How much revenue did WhatsApp bring in this month?”
Claude reads revenue, orders and delivery stats for each flow and campaign and sums them up.
“Why are my WhatsApp messages failing?”
Claude checks failed messages and the reasons behind them. The troubleshooting page explains each WhatsApp error.
“Send a campaign to my repeat customers.”
Claude picks the Shopify segment and sets up a WhatsApp campaign after you confirm.
“Create an abandoned cart reminder that sends after one hour.”
Claude drafts the abandoned checkout flow and creates it after you confirm. Meta then reviews the template.
“Set up an order confirmation flow for new orders.”
Claude creates an order confirmation flow with Confirm and Cancel buttons that tag the Shopify order.
“Find the conversation about order 1093 and summarize it.”
On the Team plan, Claude searches the shared inbox and summarizes the chat.

If the connection doesn’t work
A connection fails when the store address is your public domain instead of the .myshopify.com address, when Whapi isn’t installed on that store, or when the request expired after 10 minutes.
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| “That doesn’t look like a Shopify store address” | Enter the address ending in .myshopify.com, not your public domain. |
| “Whapi isn’t installed on that store” | Install Whapi from the Shopify App Store first, then start again. |
| The approve page doesn’t appear | Open Whapi from your Shopify admin while the connect page is still open. Requests expire after 10 minutes, so start again from Claude if it has expired. |
| Claude doesn’t use Whapi in a chat | Click the + button in the chat, open Connectors and make sure Whapi is turned on. |
Disconnect
In Claude, open Customize > Connectors, find Whapi and disconnect or remove it. Team and Enterprise Owners can also remove it for the organization.
Privacy and support
How connections and data are handled is described in the Whapi privacy policy. Questions: info@usewhapi.com or the support page.
Claude connector questions
Yes. Since October 2026 Whapi is listed in Claude's connector directory as a Community connector made by Whapi. In Claude, open Customize > Connectors, search for Whapi and click Connect. You can also add it by URL as a custom connector at https://mcp.usewhapi.com/mcp.
It connects Claude, Anthropic's AI assistant, to your Whapi account through Whapi's MCP server at https://mcp.usewhapi.com/mcp. After you connect, you can ask Claude how much revenue your WhatsApp flows and campaigns brought in, why messages failed and which templates Meta approved, and ask it to create flows and campaigns for your Shopify store in plain language.
The connector has 18 tools. Claude can check your account status, report revenue, orders and delivery stats for every flow and campaign, list failed messages with the reason, list your WhatsApp templates and their Meta status, list, create, turn on or off and delete flows, and list, create, pause, resume and cancel campaigns to your Shopify customer segments. On the Team plan it can also search and read the shared inbox.
Claude plans that support connectors can use it. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner enables the connector for the organization and each member connects their own account. Anthropic’s help center explains connector availability by plan.
No. Claude asks you to confirm before it creates, changes or deletes anything in Whapi, and every action runs the same checks as the Whapi app. New flows and campaigns are submitted to Meta for review and start sending only after Meta approves them.
Only on the Whapi Team plan, which has a shared inbox. There, Claude can search and read conversations in that inbox when you ask it to. On Pro, Claude works with your account status, performance, failed messages, flows, campaigns, segments and templates.
Whapi uses the .myshopify.com address to find your store and send the connection request to Whapi in your Shopify admin, where you approve it. That way each connection reaches only the store you approve. Find the address in your Shopify admin under Settings > Domains.
In Claude, open Customize > Connectors, find Whapi, and disconnect or remove it from the connector’s menu. On Team and Enterprise plans, Owners can also remove it for the organization.
