Shopify in Pakistan: plans, payment gateways, couriers and WhatsApp
You can run a Shopify store from Pakistan, but Shopify Payments isn’t available there. Pakistani stores pay for Shopify in US dollars, connect a provider such as Safepay for cards, and take most orders as cash on delivery.
This guide covers Shopify Pakistan pricing, paying your bill, payment gateways, couriers and how Whapi, a Shopify app for WhatsApp automation, sends order confirmations, shipping updates and abandoned cart reminders to Pakistani customers.

The short answer
- Shopify works for stores based in Pakistan, and Shopify’s Pakistan site lists plan prices in US dollars.
- Shopify Pakistan pricing on October 20, 2026: Basic US$25 a month or US$19 a month billed yearly, Grow US$65 (US$49), Advanced US$399 (US$299), Plus from US$2,300.
- Shopify Payments is not available in Pakistan. Shopify’s provider list for Pakistan includes Safepay, but not PayPal Express Checkout.
- Most orders are paid in cash: the US International Trade Administration cites industry reports that 95% of Pakistani online sellers are paid by cash on delivery.
- Meta charges $0.0150 per WhatsApp Utility message to a Pakistani number, so 1,000 order confirmations or shipping updates cost about $15.00 in Meta fees.

Selling on Shopify from Pakistan
Shopify works for businesses based in Pakistan: you can sign up, pick a plan and sell to customers in Pakistan and abroad. Shopify runs a Pakistan website in English and Urdu, and it shows plan prices there in US dollars.
The difference from markets like the UK or the UAE is payments. Shopify Payments, Shopify’s built-in card processing, isn’t available in Pakistan, so card payments go through a third-party provider and most orders are paid in cash to the courier. Three decisions shape a Pakistani store more than the theme does: which payment provider you add, how you collect cash payments, and which courier carries your parcels.
Shopify Pakistan pricing: plans in US dollars
Shopify’s Pakistan pricing page lists four plans, priced in US dollars, with a lower monthly price when you pay for a year upfront. These are the prices it showed on October 20, 2026:
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly (per month) |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | US$25 | US$19 |
| Grow | US$65 | US$49 |
| Advanced | US$399 | US$299 |
| Plus | From US$2,300 | From US$2,300 |
Shopify’s plan prices differ by country. On the same day, its UAE site listed Basic at US$32 a month billed monthly, against US$25 on the Pakistan site, so check the price shown when you sign up. Grow adds up to 5 staff accounts, which matters once someone else handles orders or customer chats.
Paying your Shopify bill from Pakistan
You pay Shopify with an international card. Shopify’s help center says the payment methods for bills depend on your store’s region and billing currency, and sets these card rules:
- Debit cards must be co-branded with Visa, Mastercard or American Express, have international capabilities and be set up for recurring transactions.
- Prepaid and virtual credit cards aren’t accepted.
- Credit cards are accepted.
Before you start a paid plan, ask your bank to enable international online payments and recurring charges on the card. Do the same for the card you add to Meta for WhatsApp message fees, since Meta bills those separately (see adding a payment method for WhatsApp in Meta).
Payment gateways for Shopify in Pakistan
Shopify Payments isn’t available in Pakistan, so you accept cards through a third-party provider. Shopify’s payment providers page, filtered for Pakistan on October 20, 2026, includes these local options:
| Option | What it is | Listed by Shopify for Pakistan |
|---|---|---|
| Safepay | Debit and credit card payments (Safepay Checkout) | Yes, listed only for Pakistan |
| PayPal Express Checkout | PayPal wallet checkout | No (listed for the UAE and Saudi Arabia) |
| Shopify Payments | Shopify’s own card processing | No, Pakistan isn’t a supported country |
| Cash on Delivery | Shopify manual payment method | Yes, built into Shopify |
Safepay is the only provider on Shopify’s list that is listed for Pakistan alone. Being listed means the provider integrates with Shopify, but each one approves businesses on its own terms and sets its own documents, fees and payout schedule, so compare them before you apply.
Shopify’s transaction fee
Shopify’s pricing overview says that when Shopify Payments isn’t available in your country and you use a third-party provider, Shopify charges a third-party transaction fee that varies by plan, on top of the provider’s own rates. Orders paid with manual methods, such as cash collected at the door, aren’t charged that fee. Your plan’s exact rate is shown in your Shopify billing settings.
Cash on delivery is still the default in Pakistan
Paying the courier in cash is how most Pakistani shoppers pay online. The US International Trade Administration’s Pakistan eCommerce guide, published on March 4, 2026, cites industry reports that 95 percent of online sellers are paid for online orders in cash at delivery, and notes that only 24 percent of Pakistanis have a bank account. The same guide puts Pakistan’s e-commerce revenue at US$5.4 billion in 2024.
The guide names mobile wallets such as Easypaisa, JazzCash and UPaisa, but says digital payments are still a hurdle for the sector. For a Shopify store, that means three things:
- Turn on Shopify’s built-in Cash on Delivery method in Settings > Payments. Our setup guide for cash payments on Shopify walks through order limits and fees.
- Plan for a cash cycle: the courier collects the money and pays you later, so check each courier’s remittance schedule and collection fee.
- Confirm orders before you book the courier. Every refused parcel costs you the delivery and return, and paying at the door makes ordering free for anyone with a phone number.
Couriers for Shopify stores in Pakistan
Pakistani Shopify stores ship through couriers that collect the cash at the door and pay the store afterwards. Courier booking apps on the Shopify App Store list the main networks: the Courierfy app, for example, supports BlueEx, Dex, Leopards, PostEx, TCS and Trax.
- PostEx has its own official Shopify app for booking and fulfilling orders with PostEx Courier. Its listing says PostEx charges its delivery and cash collection fees per order, outside your Shopify bill.
- Multi-courier booking apps let you book several couriers from the Shopify admin, which helps when you split cities between couriers.
Whichever courier you use, add the tracking number to the Shopify fulfillment. Whapi sends WhatsApp shipping updates from the fulfillment and tracking data in your Shopify orders. It does not connect to couriers directly. The couriers page explains how this works with each type of courier.
WhatsApp automation for Shopify stores in Pakistan
Whapi sends WhatsApp order confirmations, shipping updates and abandoned cart reminders from your Shopify store, and each Utility message to a Pakistani number costs $0.0150 in Meta fees. When an order is placed, the confirmation arrives with Confirm and Cancel buttons and Whapi tags the Shopify order with the answer, so your team books only confirmed orders and calls only the customers who didn’t reply.
Messages go through Meta’s official WhatsApp Business API from your own number, and you can write them in Urdu, Roman Urdu or English. Meta usually charges order confirmations and shipping updates as Utility messages:
| Order confirmations sent per month | Meta fees at the Utility list rate |
|---|---|
| 1,000 | $15.00 |
| 5,000 | $75.00 |
| 20,000 | $300.00 |
Three things about Meta pricing are specific to Pakistan:
- Meta’s Utility list rate applies to the first 150,000 Utility messages a month to Pakistani numbers, a higher threshold than the 100,000 Meta uses for Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Above it, lower tier rates apply.
- Pakistan’s Utility and Authentication rates went up on October 1, 2026, when Meta also started charging for Utility templates sent inside the 24-hour customer service window.
- Meta has no Pakistani rupee rate card, so stores pick another supported billing currency, such as US dollars, when the WhatsApp account is created.
Whapi itself costs $18.99 per month on Pro or $45 per month on Team, with a 7-day free trial, and it adds no markup to Meta’s fees. Beyond order confirmations, it recovers abandoned checkouts, sends back in stock alerts and review requests, and lets your team answer customers from a shared Team Inbox. The WhatsApp template library has copy-ready versions to adapt into Roman Urdu.
