Whapi login: open Whapi from your Shopify admin
There is no separate Whapi username or password. Whapi is a Shopify app, so you log in to your Shopify admin and open Whapi from Apps in the sidebar. If you are new, install Whapi from the Shopify App Store first.

The short answer
- To log in to Whapi, log in to your Shopify admin and click Whapi under Apps in the sidebar.
- Whapi has no username or password of its own. Your Shopify login is your Whapi login.
- If Whapi is not in the sidebar, open it from Settings > Apps, then pin it.
- New users install Whapi from the Shopify App Store, with a 7-day free trial.
How to open Whapi in three steps
The same steps work on any Shopify plan and for any store where Whapi is installed.

Log in to your Shopify admin
Go to admin.shopify.com and log in with the Shopify account you use for your store. If you manage several stores, pick the store where Whapi is installed. - 2
Open Whapi from Apps
In the Shopify admin sidebar, click Whapi under Apps. If you don’t see it, go to Settings > Apps, find Whapi in the list and open it. - 3
Pin Whapi to your sidebar
With Whapi open, click the pin icon at the top of the app. Whapi then stays in your sidebar, one click away every time you log in to Shopify.
Install Whapi if you haven’t yet
Whapi is installed per store from the Shopify App Store. Setup takes a few minutes, then Meta reviews your first message templates.

Approve the app in Shopify
Shopify shows the data Whapi needs, such as orders and customer phone numbers, and asks you to approve it. Whapi then opens inside your Shopify admin. - 3
Connect your WhatsApp number
Click Connect WhatsApp and follow Meta’s sign-up window. The Whapi setup guide shows every screen, including how to keep the WhatsApp Business App on the same number.
Fix common Whapi login problems

Why Whapi uses your Shopify login
Whapi is embedded in the Shopify admin, as Shopify requires for apps with Built for Shopify status. Shopify’s requirements ask these apps to keep their main workflows inside Shopify and to let merchants sign up with their Shopify credentials. You manage one login, and Shopify’s account security covers Whapi.
Whapi login questions
Log in to your Shopify admin at admin.shopify.com, then click Whapi under Apps in the sidebar. Whapi is a Shopify app, so your Shopify login is your Whapi login. If Whapi is not in the sidebar, go to Settings > Apps and open it from the list.
No. Whapi has no account, username or password of its own. You reach it through your Shopify admin, which also means any extra security on your Shopify account, such as two-step authentication, protects Whapi too.
Look under Apps in the left sidebar of your Shopify admin. If it is not listed there, go to Settings > Apps, where every installed app is listed, and open Whapi. Pin it with the pin icon to keep it in the sidebar.
There are three common reasons. You may be in a different store than the one where Whapi is installed, so check the store name at the top of the admin. You may be using a staff account without access to apps, so ask the store owner to check your permissions. Or Whapi may not be installed on this store yet, in which case install it from the Shopify App Store.
Yes. Staff members with access to apps in your Shopify admin can open Whapi the same way you do. On the Team plan, the shared Team Inbox lets unlimited agents answer WhatsApp conversations from the same number.
Log out of your Shopify admin. Whapi runs inside Shopify, so there is no separate Whapi account to log out of.
